Back to the Monday grind. For most of us that means heading back to our inside lives at work or school. This morning while I drink my coffee before work, I am reminiscing on the beautiful weekend that passed. After I finished all of my work yesterday, my sister and I had the chance to head down to the beach and soak up the last bit of the weekend.
One thing I love about living close to the beach is that I don’t have to head out like I’m spending a day there—I can grab a water, my keys and maybe some headphones and take a short trip down to the beach.
South Florida has been blessed with some amazing weather over the past few days. Aside from the late afternoon thunderstorms, the weather has been clear blue skies. Upon making it to the beach, I was surprised to see that the Gulf was like glass. My sister and I spent so much time swimming in the clear blue water, and only retreated back to the powder white sand when we knew the storm would fall on us shortly. Before we left, we spotted the famous turtle, Frank, who inhabits the area. Crawling down from the dunes, Frank stopped right in front of my camera for a picture, and then retreated back up to the sea grass!
It was a picturesque beach day, and I am grateful for the time I get to spend near the water!
